What is the club kickback?
Clubs can now add between £1 and £10 to the set £25 price of Squash Stars. The additional amount goes directly to the club meaning clubs can generate some money from Squash Stars. When deciding on how much more to charge it is important to consider your local area and the aims of the programme.
Squash Stars should be an inclusive and accessible way to introduce children to squash and to your club. The price can create a barrier to some families, during the 2024/25 Squash Stars season when the price was reduced we didn’t only see more people signing up for the programme but also a rise in the number of people from less affluent groups.
Clubs will need to send a quarterly kickback invoice to: squashstars@englandsquash.com
The invoicing period will be open for two weeks each quarter, on the following dates:
- Q1 invoices can be submitted between April 1 and April 14.
- Q2 invoices can be submitted between July 1 and July 14.
- Q3 invoices can be submitted between October 1 and 14.
- Q4 invoices can be submitted between January 1 and January 14.
If you miss the two-week invoice window, your invoice will be paid the following quarter.
Invoices should be sent by the club/ venue and include the following information:
- The name of the club/facility where Squash Stars took place.
- How many participants you are claiming kickback for.
- Which quarter you are claiming for.
