Do parent helpers need a DBS check?

Anyone with regular contact with U18s (broadly more than 3 days in any 30-day period, or overnight stays) requires an enhanced DBS check.

If a parent is helping out as a one-off, they do not require a DBS check, but they must be supervised by a DBS-checked and qualified adult.
